About Lil'Clipart

Activity Craft Packs for Kids

Whether you are 4, 6, 12 or 70 - if you are a kid at heart, who loves to have fun creating, then let Lil'Clipart provide you with the supplies you will need to create masterpieces. Since Lil'Clipart began, we have loved being able to give kids the chance to create something with their own hands and to achieve that sense of pride that comes with creating something.

Lil'Clipart is growing every year, and we’re using it to add numerous craft packs to our collection of paper based craft for kids. If there’s something you can’t find, please let us know - we might just be able to introduce a new craft pack from your inspiration. And of course feel free to reach out with any questions, we’re happy to help!

Language, Mathematics and Fine Motor Skills

Language

Oral language is such an important part of developing effective communication skills, however many children sitting infront of screens more and more are not getting the opportunities to develop language skills. As you complete the activities - ask your child questions and simply talk and hold a conversation with them.

Reading is not just about being able to read the words on a page but more importantly it is about understanding what those words are telling us/the meaning. To help develop reading comprehension, we all need to be reading daily and different types of texts. Let your child read the instructions, read with them or for them (as needed) and together work out what each step requires you to do. Use picture clues where needed and use what you both already know about how things work to complete each step.

Maths

There are a variety of mathematical terms used throughout the activities e.g. net, half, edge, cm, parrallel, etc. Ask your child if they know what these terms mean and if not have a conversation to build their knowledge. You might be surprised at what they already know and maybe they can teach you something as well. Don't be afraid to use the almighty 'Google' to help discover the meaning of terms. I did it all the time as a teacher when stumped myself! It's good for children to see that we can also learn new things by asking others.

Fine Motor Skills

At some point in our lives we all need to know how to use a pair of scissors, draw a straight line and present work with effort. An art and craft activity is the perfect opportunity to do all of these - cutting by turning the paper (not the scissors), colouring neatly in one direction and filling in all the white gaps and simply having a go at drawing and gluing things together properly.
